You can do this! Religious people are trying to have peace with God - what they do not realize is that the hol Spirit never comes by way of religious activity! The holy Spirit seals within each person who trust Christ's, death, burial, resurrection according to the scriptures found in the reconciliation words given Paul from Christ(1st Cor. 15:1-4, 2nd Cor 5:18-21, Eph. 1:13,14). Without the holy Spirit living in side - people are at best, real good, but never saved by trusting Christ's without spot sacrifice for sins. And most of all, remember Christ resurrected to verify assurance to all men that God accepted Christ's payment for sin(Acts 17:31, Heb. 9:14).
