Fulton Elementary School students were challenged to read a million words this school year. 100 students accepted and met the challenge, and a celebration was held at the school on Monday, May 12, 2008. This is their procession into the building.

Snowhill Elementary School principal Rita Lane told her students that if they collected 1,000 pounds of food for Second Harvest Food Bank, she would kiss a pig. They collected 1,827 pounds of food.
